GambleAware 5th Annual Harm-Minimisation Conference to Kick Off in December 2017

The leading British charity organisation aimed at dealing with problem gambling and gambling addictions – GambleAware – has revealed that it is to hold its 5th annual Harm-Minimisation Conference in December 2017.

The Conference is to be hosted at The King’s Fund in London on December 6th and 7th for fifth consecutive year. For half a decade now, the non-profit organisation promoting responsible gambling has been the organiser of a Harm-Minimisation in Gambling Conference on an annual basis.

Over the years, GambleAware conferences have become a driving force in shaping the direction of research and policy development, not to mention that the organisation has always been engaged in promoting responsible gambling as well as adequate customer protection. This year, GambleAware has chosen its overall theme of the conference to be focused on young people and their gambling habits, as well as on gaming in a quickly developing social and technical environment.

GambleAware Harm-Minimisation Conference Schedule

GambleAware has already published an outline conference programme, although the full programme is set to be officially announced in September.

For the time being, the organisers have already confirmed a number of speakers, including the Chief Executive Officer of the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) Sarah Harrison, as well as other chief executives of social gaming associations, eSports integrity commissioners, etc.

Conclusion

Problem gambling has become one of the hottest topics in the UK gambling industry over the last few years. With more and more casino, betting, poker, lottery and bingo options becoming available both off- and on-line, an increasing number of individuals become involved in addictive gambling activities putting themselves at risk.

GambleAware has always been focused on promoting responsible gambling among UK customers and have been calling all gambling operators in the country to be following strict social responsibility measures.
